Owner: Kris Exterior Colour: White/Silver Interior colour: Red/Maroon Year: 1986 Model: Calais Engine: Standard RB30E Sound system: Pioneer head unit, Clarion 12" sub + amp and Sony 6x9's. Current Mods: - 2.5" Lukey sports exhaust with extractors. - Gas conversion (currently not working). History: Bought the car in mid 2005 when it was running a bit rough. Since then i've fixed all the issues the car had. Until a few months ago when faulty wiring set the boot on fire and luckily i was near home to be able to put it out. Insurance company called it a financial write off and offered me $1,600 and they would take the car. I ended up keeping the car and got a payout of $800. I purchased new lights, got the wiring fixed and bought some home paint repair products and touched up the boot and side panel myself. Since then i've had problems with rattling coming from under the car. After getting it looked at, it turned out to be broken transmission mounts (one was completley snapped and the other warped) as well as bearings gone in the driveshaft. Had all that fixed now and it runs great. Desired Future Mods: - Conversion to manual. - Re-trim interior. + Possibly a custom instrument cluster (gauges). - Replace factory calais kit/skirting. - New paint job. (dark colour) - Possibility of intercooled Garrett turbo fitted. - Custom boot install new sound equipment. The Fire: Now: [/img]

Welcome aboard Kris. Spewn to hear bout the boot fire, a bit close to the gas tank for comfort. Makes me think i should fix up my dodgy taillight wiring before i have a boot bbq. Was the gas working before the fire? how does the rb30's go on gas?
